This session will provide a forum for interchange
of data and discussion of methods among those actively working in landfill
gas emissions. Both methane and non-methane trace components are
of interest, with the major emphasis on field measurements of surface emissions
with supporting laboratory and field studies.
Papers encouraged
Papers are encouraged on new field measurements
of gaseous emissions from landfill surfaces into the atmosphere, especially
data from field campaigns in countries not previously studied and
larger area ("whole landfill")
studies. Also encouraged are presentations
on new approaches for quantifying and optimizing methane oxidation, attenuation
of non-methane emissions, and modeling of landfill emission processes.
