The objective of this session is to identify what
we do not know about landfills that we think we need to know to operate
and monitor them more successfully to advance landfill technology. The
session will include significant time for group discussion. At the
conclusion of this session, I hope that we have some consensus on high
priorities for future research.
Papers encouraged
Topics could range from a fundamental topic such
as landfill microbiology, to a more applied topic, such as alternate compaction
techniques. The only constraint that I request is that talks focus
on issues where there is a role for data development and research.
